said by mefrige :Chase credited me over the phone half of the 199 charge as I was just into the second year. They said that it would be a hassle to try to get the whole amount. Good luck with via everyone They credited me on the phone too (Chase Sony). My amount was for $107 which was the $99 deal.
I cant imagine how SR's merchant bank is going to be able to deal with all these chargebacks. The money has to come from somewhere and I'm wondering if SR even has money in their account.... |

1 edit | reply to walletless Boy am I glad I saw this post. I called Discover this morning and all I had to say was "Sunrocket". The nice CSR lady immediately said "Oh, them!". My renewal for two years was in February and she said she could dispute the entire charge.
Interestingly she said five out of the last 7 calls were about them. Discover has a memo going around to all CSRs that they are to provide full chargeback refunds to anyone who paid for Sunrocket in the last 6 months.
In this case, it pays to Discover! |

This way my new service rings with the same number I've always had. |

@verizon.net | reply to walletless I just called Capitol One about contesting the charges. They told me they are fielding lots of calls about this. They also said, since I was past the 4 month cut off I would have to do it in writing, but indicated there would not be any problems. |

@charter.com | reply to boehlefeld I have called Amex 4 times already and they keep saying they can't do anything for me since it has been more than 60 days. I love Amex but Discover as of today is taking better care of their customers. I may have to think of switching in the future. |

| reply to Acela I switched my annual plan to monthly plan a few days ago and today I found out that they still charged me $208.22. I also called citi card. The CSR said that I was the third person to dispute SR's charge today. She even mentioned SR was a phone company and out of business. She asked me to do the same thing.
said by Acela :I just called Citi (I have the Simplicity Card) and was told I would need to fax or mail in a form they will send me. I find it quite strange since this charge is about 3 months old..but anyways..i guess i will have to wait for the letter and sign it describing the situation. Best of luck to all. I wish the process was more automated though. But i will take what i can get. |

| I had a great experience with Chase, they credited my entire charge, I do have a feeling that your relationship with whatever bank you use will influence their efforts towards to the credit.
I made the purchase on 4/14, and BTW, Sunrocket could never get my landline number ported over so I still have ATT. I am somewhat happy and sad at the same time. |
