I just called Citi (I have the Simplicity Card) and was told I would need to fax or mail in a form they will send me. I find it quite strange since this charge is about 3 months old..but anyways..i guess i will have to wait for the letter and sign it describing the situation. Best of luck to all. I wish the process was more automated though. But i will take what i can get.

if it was done via a Visa check card or the like yes since it is treated as a CC

I purchased SR via check/debit card with Bank of America, and I am having a hard time getting a refund. I'm getting the run around with them, and im not happy

no luck w/ pentagon federal. they say that 60+ days and your SOL. i'm going to fax in as much documentation as i can. penfed has always been good to me, but i'm finding out that when it comes to cust svc request they just don't have the friendliness of either discover card or american express.

I switched my annual plan to monthly plan a few days ago and today I found out that they still charged me $208.22. I also called citi card. The CSR said that I was the third person to dispute SR's charge today. She even mentioned SR was a phone company and out of business. She asked me to do the same thing.

I had a great experience with Chase, they credited my entire charge, I do have a feeling that your relationship with whatever bank you use will influence their efforts towards to the credit.

I made the purchase on 4/14, and BTW, Sunrocket could never get my landline number ported over so I still have ATT. I am somewhat happy and sad at the same time.

For those planning to dispute the charge the sunrocket web site is still running and I was able to access my statement to copy and print it out.

I had been really pissed off with Sunrocket for not being able to port my number for so long. I was into the 4th month of having to pay the two phone bills (my previous one was Packet8).

I too disputed the charge with Amex, and the rep told me the same 60 days story. However, she said that she would over-ride and let a dispute case be opened. I have Amex through Costco

Just got off the phone with Citibank, they can only dispute a charge less than 60 days old. As I signed up 1/3/07, I'm SOL.

I'm going to look for the CEO at the VA country club in the next month or so and express my displeasure.

I work for Citibank in the cards division. Call back and press. They can do more than 60 days.

Hi! Goood news-- I too purchased SR service with my Bank of America Visa Platinum Check Card.

After reading all the posts on this site, I decided to contact BOA last night. I highly suggest calling during normal business hours as the night staff is somewhat clueless, and there are no supervisors/managers to handle calls.

I just got off the phone with CSR and filed a claim with BOA--they are crediting me with the full amount of SR's charge. (I re-upped on June 18, 2007 for a year + 3 months free--what a joke.) However, BOA is immediately processing the refund which will show up on my account today and all funds available tomorrow a.m.! By the way, even though I have all the documentation i.e. emails, billing records, etc., I was told they were not necessary to process my claim. (P.S. They are however sending me a form in the mail which MUST be completed and signed by the required date or your claim can be reversed.)

You might want to tell them that you are disputing/filing a claim on the basis that you have not been successful in contacting SR for quite some time (which in my case is the past 2 weeks), that SR billed you in advance for services you did not receive, and that you have had technical issues and tried consistently to contact SR to no avail.

I had no problems with American Express. I called and said this company that charged $199 on my credit card no longer exist and they are not providing the service I purchased. They said no problem. They explained to me that they will give sunrocket 30 days to respond to the dispute before making adjustment permanent.

The bastards charged my American express just 2 weeks before closing shop for another year. That was an easy one to dispute. I called and explain that sunrocket charged me for a service they can no longer provide. The charge was new, did not even show up in the monthly bill. So it looks like this one will get reversed. I did not need to fax/sign/mail anything.

Danm crook auto renewed my contract for another year less than one month ago, compass bank took care of it and i got my full refund.
