| Anonymous user avatar and name Possibly more of an opinion than a feature request, but I don't like that anonymous user posts are given as much weight as regular users. Their "entered" names are now bolded, and they have an avatar--generic as it is--which gives their posts weight that might not always be completely warranted.
Let's go back to unbolded and no avatar, please.

Not all member posts should be given much weight either, so the value of a post isn't tied to the existence of an avatar.

Good point. I just found those posts confusing. When I saw the first one, I thought it was a regular avatar. I had to look twice to see that the person was not registered.

Actually it's an avatar, but a crappy one. I figure it'll lure more anonymous members into joining so they can have groovy avatars such as ours.

kudos:3 | I'm neutral on this one.....I dont like anonymous users because you can not contact them via IM....Of course I was one for about two weeks but some of these anonymous users remain so for years....Seems like all they want to do is haunt the place with non of the responsibilities of being a member. |

I've had them ignored for months, but their posts still take up white space and now so does the avatar.
Can we get them treated the same as ignored registered users, i.e. it just says "ignored anon post", or better yet, nothing appears on the page at all? |

I don't think their posts deserve less weight, but I do prefer that it be much more obvious that they are an anonymous unregistered user - no avatar and no bolded user name. Just MO.
