I'm trying to figure out the admin password for this adapter but can't seem to guess it. I've found lots of sites that talk about updating the firmware but nobody talks about what the admin password is. Anyone? |

@frontiernet.net | reply to hoffa69 there is no password for a DTA310. once you log in using the IP it goes straight to the UI. |

| reply to hoffa69 The user *CAN* password protect their DTA310 (and it's a good idea). It comes standard without a password in place.
Somewhere along the line, did you enter a password for it?
There also must be some sort of "Hard Reset", but it's been awhile since I messed around with the one I had... -- New to Forum Life? Click here and learn. |

| reply to n1zuk Well, you can try this (although I give no warranty on the results):
quote: 1.Unplug the power.
2.Connect the telephone to PHONE 1 PORT.
3.Lift the handset off the telephone (off-hook).
4.Use a pin to push the RESET button at the back of the device. Hold it while you plug the power back to the device. The Power LED should be flashing rapidly.
5.Continue to hold the RESET button until you see four of the six LEDs flashing several times in pairs. Release the pin and wait until all LEDs stop flashing. This whole process may take up to 10 seconds.
6.Put the handset back on the telephone (on-hook).
7.The factory defaults should have been restored.

| Actually, do not lift the handset off the hook, it will give you a reboot IVR saying, "Your account is now active, however the device requires rebooting"
You never want the phone off the hook when you hard reset on an 8x8 adapter. However, otherwise you were right on the money. |
