Re: Firefox 2.0.0.5 Releasedsaid by Grail Knight:Let me know as I am curious now more so then before. I have not had a chance to test this out GK. Where can I get 2.0.0.4? I tossed my last copy inadvertently on my USB drive. |

You can get any version of Fx from here: » releases.mozilla.org/pub ··· eleases/If you poke around the links you can find damn near anything released by MoFo as well as extensions & themes. |

Hey Trooper or Grail Knight, I was having the same problem with CCleaner not cleaning my cookies when I upgraded to v2.0.0.5. I uninstalled and went back to v2.0.04, now CCleaner cleans my cookies. Can one of you or someone else tell me if CCleaner will clean the cookies in v2.0.0.6? Before I upgrade. Thanks! |

Flatiron, CCleaner removed all but five of the cookies that were not on the preserve list. I don't have time right now to figure out why it left those five. All of the five left that should have been deleted did not show in the cookies listing of CCleaner. |

Its not working for the same sites (which happen to be IPB related forums) in verison 2.0.0.6. |

Thanks for the replies Trooper & GadgetsRme, I might just stay with v2.0.0.4 for now, don't know for sure yet. I rely on CCleaner to clean all cookies at the end of the day so I'll be logged out of other boards too. 2 I know that are not cleaned are » www.techsupportforum.com/ & » www.besttechie.net/forums/ . I posted about this at the MozillaZine Forums yesterday but have not got a response yet. I'll let you all know when/if I hear something! |

Thanks a lot for the heads up man. It is pretty annoying, and it seems like they are IPB related forums. Might be time to hit up the CCleaner forums and ask around as well. |

How about trying Fx 2.0.0.7 pre w/ CCleaner instead of going backwards in Fx releases? Edit* » ftp.eu.mozilla.org/pub/m ··· ?C=M;O=D |

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just installed it over the top of the 2.0.0.6 official build, and it still does the same thing.
The weird thing is that the CCleaner log states it is clearing out those cookies, but when you go back to the site its evident that it really is not doing anything. |

Have you considered an extension to manage your cookies? I use Cookie Safe and you can set the options to clean all cookies upon closing the browser. There are many options available to deal with cookie disposition but it is very easy to set up and use. |

I don't want to clear all cookies when closing the browser though, just when I do a cleanup with CCleaner. |

Well are you using it? Must be good if I recommended it twice. |

It would seem if you reinstalled CCleaner that is should pick of the Fx Profile even if it is not the default location.
My Fx Profiles are not in the default location(s) and CCleaner works its magic. Kind of redundant with CookieSafe deleting the cookies on close but what the hell the more cleaning the merrier. |

Was happy to receive an email today from the "Piriform Forums" about CCleaner not cleaning all cookies. By MrG an Administrator there. quote: I've added this to the list of fixes to put in v2.0.

Sounds like a plan. There usually i simple answer it seems like an update.
I just use cookie safe to dump everything on close. |

|

CookieSafe will not protect cookies on close.
I use it because it allows for exporting of the exception list as well a asking me every time how I want to disposition cookies learning as it goes similar to a firewall.
I dump all cookies on close anyway and just log back onto any sites when I get there.
Cookiesafe does know though which site I allow, block, or session only cookies. |

Just noticed on the Software Blaze forums that CookieSafe is no longer being supported and that most future development will be on CS Lite which is apparently not yet available from Mozilla. |
|
|
I saw that before but the original version is still working fine in Fx 2.0 and Minefield for that matter. |

You can download CS Lite from their forum: » forum.softwareblaze.com/ ··· hp?t=137I'm sure it will eventually end up on AMO. |

Just wanted to let those know who use CCleaner that they've released 2 Beta versions to try and fix the bugs. One on 8/16 and one yesterday(8/24). CCleaner v2.00.491 Beta 2 cleans all Firefox cookies now! *Added support for Firefox HttpOnly cookies. I imagine the final release will be out soon. Remember though, it's Beta!Piriform Forums -> Announcements |
