I would recommend packet8. At least they didn't give me a run around and try to over charge me like Vonage. They made an offer, didn't try to add on any charges. For $5 I was signed up with my sunrocket phone number and told I"d have my equipment in 3 business days. They have a $199 a year plan, but just one number. Vonage tried to take advantage of me at every corner. Offering free transfer and 2 free months, when I called they wanted a $14.95 shipping fee, $30 sign up fee and only one free month. When I told them I'd read their offer, they tried to charge me more for the shipping and then wave the one time connection fee, but had to get approval for the 2 free months. After 4 hours of being messed with, I called Packet8 and it took 5 minutes. I also looked into Timewarner, but it is NOT a voip phone as they claim and it's $40 ($30 for unlimited calls in state only) and not voicemail. I considered Verizon Voicewing, they have a two line place for $44.95 with all the same features as Sunrocket, the one line price is $24.95, but with Packet8's $199, $224 with taxes, it's less expensive, has all the same features and people seem way more knowledgeable and not monkey business.
