| Lisa Hook -- A Short Look Back
As Lisa Hook (CEO of Sunrocket) is now, simply based on statistics, almost certainly personally responsible for the serious injury and/or death of her customers, I thought it might be interesting to look back on a brief history of her appearances here. (My heavier initial subject line read "Lisa Hook - Incompetence and Death".)
My favorite quote/prediction so far was from ChristCorp in November 2006 at
»Deal Propels SunRocket to Mainstream
Either way, Lisa Hook is a moron. It's people like her that run companies into the ground. That's right, she did once before, didn't she? Any other favorites?

I bet you her resume won't be looking good after SR went into a SunSet strip. -- Mazi (UK Non-Geo Phone: +44-703-194-2574) |

'extraodinary sums of money' - that gets my vote as quote of the day.

Even in his sarcasm, it was correct, it just wasn't specified as to who got those monies. -- There is no such thing as a stupid question, and yes, the camel types. |

| reply to B Looking back, it was all your own fault.
While good and cheap providers like voipdiscount or callcentric that has been around offering basically free calling out (or $10 for at least 3 months) or unlimited incoming for $5, you still chose to give out $$$ to SR.
Looking at what's going on with Voicestick, if anyone is paying them $20 or more monthly, it is simply plain stupid.
Lisa's laughing at you guys: "if I did not take your money, there would always have been someone else, dumb people."
Get your lesson and don't repeat it again, that's the best for you. I learned my lesson from giving $25 to Sellvoip. Avoid any company that charge an significant initial deposit.
The rule of thumbs in VOIP business: never give out more than $10 at a time to any VOIP provider.
The same is with cell phone services. Now prepaid services like Tmobile2go and PagePlus are so damn good and cheap, millions people are still paying at least $30 monthly. Should they blame anyone but themselves when they finally realize how much money they've wasted?
The falling of VSPs one after another is due to this simple fact: these guys know how to set up an asterisk box and think it is an easy way to get money. When you play with these nerds, you should know what kind of risk you are facing with. Business is far more than a magic box, but that's just what most VSPs have. They reply on big players of DID and termination on almost everything.
Believe me, most of your money did not go into Lisa's pockets, but those of the DID/termination capitalists. |

| How the heck does any of that exempt Lisa Hook from specific blame for single-handedly running a company into the ground, leaving up to 200,000 families (and one might guess in the neighborhood of 1 million people) without a reliable primary means of calling for emergency services?
Of course she's no better than the next amoral crook down the street (no one's arguing that she's unique), but the entire point is that this time she is the one to blame.
