| Skype The best way to get around this from ever happening again is to join Skype.....a LARGE (10 million strong membership) Ebay company. It is going to be there....period. Buy a Skypeout number and a set of Skype phones that don't require a PC hookup. There are many out there now...just Google. The sound is great and it can be accessed from any PC. It's no longer just a PC gizmo. It is serious competition for the Bells. Sure...it'll never have 911 but I'd say that most of us have at least one cell phone for back up anyway. I've been using it for over a year in conjunction with my SR voip and glad I had it. Saved my but when SR went down....and during all of the times it's been on the fritz. BTW/ it's never failed me....ever. |
