looking at their website, "about us" just gives phone number and e-mail address. For me, I won't do business unless you have a physical address...Tell me where your bricks are located. This web site is VERY short on specifics.
As a side note, they say the rate runs "for the term of your annual contract" so I think this means for up to 12 months but not including the "1+1 (12 free)".
Did you notice the "got Vonage" button is the same one from the SR site? And if you click on it, it goes to the Sunrocket number transfer page? I entered my number, and unlike others, it did not pre-populate with personal info (good since it would be easy to find cc numbers for other people with phone numbers close to yours!).
Hardly a solid business. |

That's really not right; if they're going to do it why haven't they notified everyone yet?
Holy crap -- contrary to what I read somewhere, the »sunrocket.com site still appears completely unchanged, with no notification to customers!

Oh, and the SR web site has changed slightly -- you can't sign up for service any more and the 'contact us' page has been changed to reflect Teleblend's service number instead of SR's. So someone has had their fingers in the system. |

Who are you? We are Teleblend, your broadband telephone company. Yep, same "answer", if one can call it that....
By the way, the OP also asked "Anyone know who these guys are?".

| reply to michiguide I find the entire process to be strange..
SR went down and typically owes no one except the creditors, except that the VC's were the creditors on that side of the desk.
On the other side, the vendors certainly have a claim, unless they have been getting paid all along.
The custoners who had prepaid probably have no claim....BUT....if that's the case, how can another entity, regardless of who sanctioned it, simply move in, take over the equipment, customer records and such, and have the vendors continue to provide service. Who assigns the rights to the new company to aquire the records of a defunct company and go forth with continuing the service, all the while subtly suggesting that if the SR customers don't switch by Aug 3, they will be disconnected. In addition, typically, credit card providers require something substantial before they book and release funds to a company.
If I were an investigative reporter for the media, I would be packing my tape recorder and laptop and preparing for a big story. |

| reply to michiguide I entered both of my #'s (original SR # and my ported 12yr old #) and it didn't display any of my personal information, but obviously recognized me as an SR customer 'cuz the header showed the $12.95 plan.
One thing I'm wondering is if all the switching/trunking would be the same. There were always a few calls I had problems w/ off and on due to Pac West (nor Cal) poor handling of my calls. (static, popping/cracking, etc.)
I thought Pac West fixed it, but somewhere along the way, the handler must have changed on those calls 'cuz Pac West couldn't do a live trap on the lines anymore.
Then, right at the end the popping/clicking was back to those trouble #'s again. (Assuming Pac West was handling the routing again.....grrrrrr).
??? And also wondering if TB is based out of the same town/equipment/servers, etc. etc. |

| reply to laserjobs What is teleblends normal rates? I just see the $12.95/month. It states in the TOS that SR customers will get the 12.95/month for the rest of their current contract and then the rates will increase to teleblends regular annual rates.
So......what is that exactly? |
