Odd thing....nowhere can I find what the "regular" monthly cost will be after the old SR contract term runs out.

Does anyone know?

I just got off the phone with Teleblend and asked that same qustion. The rep said that the details of what the price will be after your contract with SR would have expired are still being worked out.

This a new service that has been developed by Telecom liquidator and they are still working through everything.

They assured that the transition would be seamless and that you could cancel at anytime.

Since I was on month to month with SunRocket, I'd probably be stuck with whatever price they decided to charge. No thanks.

I ended up over at ViaTalk, hopefully the change will go over soon...

I can confirm that you do not get the Signature line for the $12.95 price with Teleblend. I just signed up and they do add the $4.99 to the $12.95 = $17.94/month.

Now we'll see how long they take to get me up and running. Should I change the password back to what SR left it on my gizmo? Hmmm...

Edit: So I don't sound like a complete idiot - I did use a psuedo-card number from my CC company that I can kill at any time.

Yeah, if you look at the faq on the TB site, you will see them explain that whole issue.

Thanks for sharing all this info. I was on the annual plan and haven't received that e-mail... can anyone on an annual plan confirm receipt of it? Or is it just going to the month-to-month customers so far?

I didn't get the email either, but I signed up for the month to month dealy. The company seems to check out, and if I have to bail, it's only gonna cost me 12 bucks at this point. We'll see what kind of regular rates they come up with...

Good question. I doubt they have that much segrigation on the email list. It's possible, but I doubt it.

Not sure why some people have gotten it, and others have not. It might just be an issue with how much email they have to send out, but who knows.

I signed up in Jan/06 in case that has anything to do with it. The order or the email list, may have something to do with who got email, and who hasn't, again all pure speculation. In this idea, the people who joined most recently would be at the top, and older people at the bottom.

Also, I am glad you and everyone else are finding this information helpful, and useful. I myself was happy to find some official word from SR.

I'd be willing to pay a few bux more a month, to not run into this issue again in a year or so.

Do I hear $29.95 anyone?

This is more along the lines of keeping my number "live" until the dust settles. I'm a freelancer, and it's the number on all my business materials.

I need a quick and dirty solution for a month or so, and this may be it.

When I enter my SR phone number at my.Teleblend.com -- it does not show any of my exisiting account info. Anyone else seeing this?

Many people have reported that their account info was pre-populated when they entered their SR phone number.

I don't know much about the bankruptcy laws, and protections, etc, but I do know it's not all that hard to switch your name to something else, pretty much anytime you want.

All you need to do, really, is run an ad in your local newspaper, announcing your old name, and new name, and then of course setup a new DBA with your banks, etc.

ps No I am not a lawyer, but I can be paid to play one on the internet, contact me for pricing information

No, not Sunrocket, but who knows how many insiders are involved and how. I'm sure if they are involved, they had your money and the best legal advice to do it right.

Dear Customers,

After significant effort by the Company to avoid this result, SunRocket is in the process of closing its operations and therefore will no longer be able to provide you with the phone service that you have been accustomed to. However, this email provides you with an opportunity to sign up with select service providers who we believe will offer outstanding replacement service

I don't know, but it seems you aren't the only person who didn't get an email. Who knows the true reasons why. The rumor mills could get fired up over that too I guess..

I did not get the e mail from SR. (I looked in spam also)

When I entered my phone number in the required slot I did not get a pre filled in form.

Don't know if this means anything.

May be good to keep the number alive until I make a decision.
