| Voicemail greeting cut off
I just set up VT with my AC-211N-SR. I was testing voicemail and noticed it cuts off the first couple of seconds of the intro. I also noticed it happening when retrieving messages. The VM "operator" was cut off as well. Any ideas how to fix this? |

So I guess it isn't unique to your AC-211. |

I worked around it by leaving two seconds of silence at the beginning of my voicemail greeting.
Let us know if you figure out a better solution. |

| Please submit a ticket regarding this. Ken Kobin at VT is already looking into this for me as it has been happening for some time now. I just updated my ticket with a link to this thread to show it is happening to more people than just me. Thanks. |

| I have a ticket open since June 19 on this one. It is currently with Level 2 support, but no responses to my ticket since July 16. I have referred VT to this thread to show it is a more common issue, but no responses yet. |

| Add me to the list. Today is my first day with VT and the setup and installation went well but my customized outgoing message starts on the third word! Also, a few times the OGM will abruptly stop and then continue again. Not exactly impressive to a caller! |

| Well I discovered something interesting. When I dial my VT phone number FROM my VT phone, it will eventually go into voicemail and my outgoing message plays COMPLETELY and CLEARLY with no stuttering at all. I wonder why that is -- is voicemail answering on the second line perhaps? |

@comcast.net | reply to nuzzy I too had the problem of losing the first portion of my voicemail greeting. Still not solved until today I tried to recorded a new one. All is now well. Guess their server was heavily taxed last week. |

| reply to nuzzy I noticed this issue back on 7/15.. »Re: No Beta Voicemail this morning
I still have the problem. I re-recorded my voicemail greeting a few minutes ago and left a long pause before I started recording.. probably around 4 seconds. |

| I think I found a fix to this problem in another forum.
Try this:
The "INBAND" DTMF must be configured via telnet
Telnet to the IP address of the MTA and login with the admin account
[for me, I went to Start / Run / telnet 192.168.251.1]
Now type in C2 and hit
This is what appears: RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is NEGOTIATED! Please input your new choice(0:always off,1:always on, 2:negotiated)
Type in 0 and hit
INFO: read from NVS_PRIMARY (0x39 INFO: write to NVS_SECONDARY (0x399) INFO: write to NVS_PRIMARY (0x399) FS write: OK. RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is ALWAYS OFF (The device still able to receive 2833 packets)!
That's it. Close the Telnet session |

| Thats for the innomedia.
I'm having the same issue with the delay, and also waited a few seconds when I recorded my VM message.
When I call my number which I have forwarded via sunrocket, it answers and starts with my voice, meaning it is having a delay.
If I call the via talk number directly, the VM answers and the delay plays before the message. So it does seem to be that the delay is being caused by the SR number forward somehow. |

I'm thinking that too, but what's weird is that I still get the delay by calling *123. The attendant is delayed as well. |

Should it be saying something before that? If so I wasn't aware that was getting cut off.
As far as the functions, its very responsive to the options I enter. |

I've been a ViaTalk customer for 18 months and was never a SR customer. sbradshaw who has also reported this problem is also a long time VTer.
