| I'm surprised. I've seen news.yahoo.com and finance.yahoo.com - which is assembled by editors, not a bot - regularly front page stories of yahoo woe. NY Times publishes its own financial results (good or bad). WSJ reports on the murdoch buyout. I don't think a legitimate news outlet can get away with a blind spot. |

I find it troubling that google news which is seen by many as an impartial news aggregator is not showing any news that shows google in a poor light. Which leads to questions about what other stories they are blocking from their news pages.

I suspect that the news bot has been programmed to lower rate any google news so that it isn't highlighted. As to why, we could speculate endlessly. I guess the proof would be for someone to do the same kind of checking when Google has some very good news to report. And will the good news stories also not appear on the front pages of google news then as well.
I'd only attribute a sinister motive when it is proved that only bad news is hidden.
