Re: Meh I suspect that the news bot has been programmed to lower rate any google news so that it isn't highlighted. As to why, we could speculate endlessly. I guess the proof would be for someone to do the same kind of checking when Google has some very good news to report. And will the good news stories also not appear on the front pages of google news then as well.
I'd only attribute a sinister motive when it is proved that only bad news is hidden.
