:Well I'm out on the North Fork of LI, and we had been without cable for all day this past Wednesday (due to rains) and now that we're finally back on, I've noticed a slight bump of speed with my modem. Unfortunately I only get 1.2MBps using the old OOL ftp speed test, but here's what my DLINK DCM-202 is reporting:
Class ID 1
Max Downstream Rate (bps) 16500000
Max Upstream Rate (bps) 2000000
So does that mean I am now 16.5/2? I was almost positive that before this outage, the downstream was 15000000.
It probably is a measurement anomaly. The best way to find out what you are provisioned at is to ask the modem by running DOCSDIAG/ This will report what your provisioned up and down speeds are set to.
