My number is supposedly carried by Level 3 but it's already taken 2 weeks and the number has not ported. I fear that I had a distinctive ring function on my number which I cannont change currently and that may be slowing the process. |

| In regard to my port, I just spent the last hour and a half on hold with Packet 8 only to be told that they, "Will escalate the request and get back to me by email." Not looking real great in book. I submitted my request on July 21st, so it's going on almost 3 weeks here.
Initially I thought I had made the right choice with Packet 8, but now I'm starting to wonder. The last week or so the call quality has been kinda spotty, some echo and the person on the other end has been having problem hearing me.
Think I will give them till tomorrow to get back with me on my port, if I hear nothing I'm done with them. I'm still within my 30 days to cancel and get a refund. |

My experience too - except I initiated the port request 2 days earlier than you - and still nothing. I agree with your comments on voice quality. -- Check out my website: www.renowirelessinfo.com |

1 edit | My port was suppose to have happened yesterday according to Level 3 AND ChoiceOne. I guess P8 are back logged, but as you guys say, they have the "satisfaction warrantied" period to do their stuff. We have been without our number for 3 weeks now and its getting less and less important every day. Nearly everyone in the US knows and call our cells now, its just the folks in England we need to consider now. A few calls will fix that for good. GrandCentral, VS N2N and Hotspot@home is looking like a favorable combination now. |

| reply to Christie Folks, after spend a total of 9 hours on hold with Packet8 and talking to 8 or 9 different techs and customer service reps, it appears that we have located the problem with my number not porting (after about 3 weeks of waiting). Teleblend has apparently taken control of a whole group of phone numbers and are not properly releasing them. The numbers go through the port process, but then get "stuck" when Packet8 enables them on their systems.
I am in that phone number hell. If someone from the Packet8 system calls my ported number it works fine, but if someone from the outside world calls my number, the call will not route correctly because it is now registered on 2 different systems.
Packet8 is filing a complaint with the FCC today about Teleblend on behalf of the hundreds of phone number stuck in this situation.
Somehow getting the Federal Government involved in my phone number porting situation doesn't seem to bode real well for getting it resolved any time soon.
What a complete and utter mess this has been... |

| reply to Hosed in WI it's your fault for signing up with TB. By signing up with them, you gave them permission to control your number. And they are not required to release your number.
It is not reasonable behavior on your part to sign up with TB if your real intention was to have a different company be your service provider. In fact you probably planned to use TB for a short period only, which is not illegal, but also not "honorable" thing to do. So don't be surprised when they screw you back. |

| Let me state definitively that TeleBlend is not holding any numbers despite what has been relayed on this thread is in no way connected to this issue.
While I do not doubt what "Hosed in WI" has been told and the sincerity of his/her frustration in understanding the root cause of this issue, TeleBlend is not party to it.
I must go back to the manner in which SunRocket unraveled and the unprecedented challenge that carriers and providers faced in scrambling to transition SunRocket customers (and their numbers) to where they needed to be. While all parties involved have done a remarkable job in cleaning up the job as best they could, it is not surprising that issues will come up from time to time due to the speed at which all of these customers were left hanging.
Again, on this particular issue TeleBlend is in no way involved in holding any numbers nor would the company have the means to do so. I cannot provide any insight or guesses on what has happened here only to surmise that amidst the massive migration underway something has been lost in translation. |

| Are you going to blame Global Crossing, or Level 3, or Focal, or...?
Whatever is happening, is happening on the TeleBlend side. Packet8 has confirmed that, and apparently is filing an FCC complaint about it. It would seem that even though Packet8 is submitting the LSR, TB is not replying the the FOC (in the case of numbers being "held hostage").
As to why numbers are being pulled back from Packet8 and VoicePulse, again, this isn't something that makes sense to be initiated by the 3rd party, as they would be losing a newly gained customer. TB, on the other hand, could do an automated pull and re-activate the number in their system. -- Get your Gizmo Admin Passwords, Unlock Instructions, and How To use your Gizmo with other providers at »gizmopasswords.blogspot.com NukedGallery.net |

Teletubby is clueless, they don't know how to manage the SR assets and they have NO idea what the process is to release numbers
I have warned others NOT to sign up with Teletubby as there TOS clearly states they have no obligation to honor a request to port a number ...
TeleTubby always says its someone Else's fault, be it the SR assets, the CLEC's or VOIP providers they are trying to screw or the inner working of phone number porting

| reply to TeleBlendBL also, while I understand your commitment to the company providing your paycheck, as their PR guy, you also have a commitment to the customers. after all, if people start canceling their TB service based on bad phone service, customer service, etc...there won't be a company to cut you a check. it's in your own best interest to be forthright and honest with us, even if it means admitting that TB screwed up. Lisa Throckmorton could do it - »biz.yahoo.com/bw/070808/20070808···tml?.v=1 (btw, it appears that SpeakerBox Communications isn't a telecom company, as the name somewhat implies, rather it's yet another PR firm hired by TB). -- Get your Gizmo Admin Passwords, Unlock Instructions, and How To use your Gizmo with other providers at »gizmopasswords.blogspot.com NukedGallery.net |

| reply to TeleBlendBL Although I intended to stay with Teleblend, I was unhappy with the lack of promised features. I opened two accounts with Nuvio and I ported my numbers from Teleblend. When callers were unable to reach me, I spoke with escalations at Nuvio. After checking, Nuvio confirmed that Teleblend ported my numbers back.
After my numbers ported away, I completed a trouble ticket asking to cancel my account. Hopefully, Teleblend will fail to respond to this ticket, as they have with several prior tickets. |

Yeah, using it for business purposes was against their TOS. That's what I thought. Also, the frustration levels are high, but why do people keep talking about lawsuits with SunRocket. They know darn well that they aren't going to sue anyone. 1st; If sunrocket went out of business, there's no one to sue. 2nd; The excuse about losing money and business clients is BS when the provider specifically says you CAN'T use the service for that purpose. Oh well. People say a lot of things when they let emotions kick in instead of just thinking it through. Later... Mike.... |

| Good.
Growing pains or not, they shouldn't launch a service, just expecting it to go smoothly from day 1.
