Re: Porting # from SR to Packet8

Home Office use consistent with residential use was not a violation of TOS. Similar language was included under acceptable use in SR's TOS.

Once again, my post above is crystal clear regarding TeleBlend's position on the issue. As far as being the "PR" person not much to say there. Folks here knew me and my sincerity in helping SunRocket customers in my former life and I think most know my intentions are always in good faith and I'm not just going to post something because it sounds good. I post based on all information available to me at the time and have ALWAYS been forthright and honest in that regard. I'm especially sensitive to it with former SunRocket customers because, as I've stated multiple times, I think the manner in which customers were left was unspeakable.

I can sit here and tell you that the majority of TeleBlend customers have transitioned successfully, but that doesn't really matter because the customer who is having problems isn't really going to be helped or assuaged that other customers are doing fine.

I can tell you this: Significant progress has been made as TeleBlend transitions customers and gets things up and running. Given the circumstances under which things occurred the process was not going to be perfect, but it will get better. For some, understandably, this progress may not come fast enough and that is a decision each individual will have to make. But TeleBlend has put in place a service and offering that will serve customers for years to come. Again, I'll leave it to each existing and potential customer to determine what works best for them.

If you have questions feel free to PM me. Again, I'm here to keep the lines of communication open between TB and the customers. As I type this I know some will respond skeptically and that I understand.

The reason I can't comment on any Packet8 FCC action is because I am not privy to it and thus it would be inappropriate for me to speculate on its validity.

While I appreciate your response, I'm sure you are still biased towards the company that writes you a check.

Regardless, I doubt TB will continue to operate as a viable corporation given the negative publicity that has surrounded it since it's inception. Why? Consider the problems experienced this week. Customers who don't know about DSLR probably won't tolerate a week+ of no phone service, they'll go somewhere else. Or, they'll Google around and see these threads. Customers who do know about DSLR either won't sign up, or will do so just to save their number, and then leave. My unscientific poll of DSLR readers shows about 81% will do just that. That's a high enough attrition rate to sink any company.

Why don't you just pack you spam some where else. Your nothing more than a paid for third party shill for TeleTubby.

You have no data to provide, everything you say within a day or two gets proven wrong ... bottom line is BBR folks know the real deal whats going on, even with paid shills posting here claiming the "want to help" the poor SR customers

All YOU want is your commission payment ... here's a free one, your never going to get a dime as Teletubby won't be around in a month

Well to teleblendbl, i wish to make it clear that i transitioned to teleblend successfully and sucessfully had both my incomming and outgoing jeopardized, unabashedly by the great teleblend. It does not seem to be a problem just with me but with thousands others who sucessfully blended with teleblend. I have no outgoing or incomming, and phones to their CSR says " all circuits are busy..." i am just horrifed to see that this is just a copy of the sunrocket problem, they went out without informing and now super(tele)blend, did the same i.e. temporarily shut down without informing its paid subscribers. Is there no body who can curtail such malpractices and shody dealings in this country. This is a rip off and teleblendbl is here to make blending of this issue, may be you are given a satellite phone to talk to that frog or fogg whatever his name is..... as all circuits are busy at this time at teleblend.

dispute the charges w/ your CC and file an FCC complaint. once the banks and the feds start knocking on their doors, maybe they'll get off their asses and fix things, if it isn't too late.

Now that TeleBlend has snatched back my ported numbers, on one account callers hear the number has been disconnected or out of service. I am able to forward calls on the other line.

I continue to submit trouble tickets, since I have not been able to reach TeleBlend by phone.

On July 30th Packet 8 assured me that my old number would be ringing by Aug. 1st. I didn't even receive the replacement gizmo until Aug. 2nd. They then PROMISED me that within 7-10 days my number would be ported. 2 weeks later and no porting, all they can say now is to wait and perhaps in 4-6 weeks the number will be ported. 2 lies, no service, yet they have my money. Today a rep. from packet8 told me that "originally they were telling customers 7-10 days would complete the porting, now however due to some illegal activity by Teleblend the porting processes are being held up", this statement came directly from the Packet8 representative. This better not be true !!

Rest assured that if you didn't sign up for TB service and they did a pull on your number after it ported to P8, they will be fried at the stake by the FCC, The clecs are heavily regulated on their paper trails (one of the big reasons for voip ports taking longer) that the clecs will turn over ALL the info with out regards....
TB will then be liable to you also. They do not own the number. You do.

TeleblendBL - can you give us any hint when Teleblend will have it's own web site where we can see what features we're actually getting and how we'll be able to control them? It's strange going to the SR site, and even stranger when TB tech support swears that the Sunrocket site doesn't affect TB accounts, while of course it does.

most likely, they're just going to retool the SR site and rebrand it w/ TB logos, since they apparantly have taken over the SR infrastructure. »https://www.myteleblend.net/documents/Te···2707.pdf

While I do not doubt what "Hosed in WI" has been told and the sincerity of his/her frustration in understanding the root cause of this issue, TeleBlend is not party to it.
Unfortunately TeleblendBL I am not the only one being told this, not the only one filing FCC complaints, nor the only one who's porting is hung up because of Teleblend's incompetence.

I honestly don't believe they are doing it on purpose (but I am a trusting kind of guy). I just think they are a group of opportunists who jumped in to make a quick buck and have yet to figure out how to run their systems.

If we are lucky Teleblend will quickly pull their collective heads out of their a$$es and clean our numbers out of their system.

When I called Nuvio about my number being snatched back, the rep thought I had just called. A coworker had just told him a similar story a few minutes before and he was surprised to hear that I had the same problem.

Since the services are less that those advertised when I paid TeleBlend on 7/18, I filed complaints with the FCC and the Internet Crime Complaint Center. I also described the porting problem.

Since I reset my adapter after SunRocket flamed out, I can't configure my adapters w/o the user ID and PW from TeleBlend. I filed a ticket on 7/19. Once I realized that this info wasn't coming, I set up accounts with Nuvio and I was making calls a few minutes later.

On 7/20, I filed a ticket with TeleBlend stating that I did not want to transfer my number to them. I also notified them that I intended to port my numbers to Nuvio.

I am trying to forward my calls with limited success. On one account callers are disconnected after a few seconds. On the other account callers are told my number is disconnected.

which ATA do you have? for the AC-211-SR (and N) and innomedia, try the site in my .sig for passwords. if you have the AC-211, my site also has two programs that you can run to figure out the password.

dmolavi,

Thank you for all of the info you have provided. I have an unlocked Innomedia and an AC-211-SR. I have no problems logging into either. I was unable to establish service with TeleBlend on the Innomedia after I had performed a factory reset. I thought I needed the user and PW info from TeleBlend to establish service. I selected Nuvio since it had clear instructions for both adapters. It only took a few minutes to setup two new accounts with Nuvio.

As soon as I realized that TeleBlend was unable to provide the promised level of service I decided to go with another provider.

In fact you probably planned to use TB for a short period only, which is not illegal, but also not "honorable" thing to do. So don't be surprised when they screw you back.
Actually, it was not illegal, and it was also not "not honorable" - TeleBlend was offering a month-to-month service, no contract required - so you could use them for one month, or as long as you wanted to stay with them. So I don't appreciate being screwed back, by a company that not following it's own statements.

When I signed with Sunrocket 2 years ago they said I should have NO PROBLEM using their service with a home based business.

look Henry; you're trying to put in a Gentleman's handshake with the law. The customer service person on the phone will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign up. Unfortunately, you don't have any hard proof of that. And, unfortunately for you, most states fall under what in the legal profession is called the "4 corner law". Meaning, if it isn't within the 4 corners of a piece of paper, then it doesn't exist. The 4 corners of SunRocket's TOS states that it's for residential use. Rationalize it anyway you want. That is what any lawyer you want to pay is going to tell you. later... Mike....

From TB TOS:

You are expressly prohibited from using the Service for ... any other activity that results in excessive usage inconsistent with normal residential or home office usage patterns.

I believe this is identical to the wording in SR's TOS.
