No ratings last 6m | Seller and Buyer ratings system
I've put in a seller and buyer rating interface. You will find the link below a new FS topic lead-post, and FS topic owners will find a link allowing them to give feedback to individual buyers by name.
There will be a simple moderation system alongside this, that will be as hands off as possible. All ratings made and taken until that point are provisional. When the moderation system is in place, within the week, the ratings can be accepted or rejected.

do both the seller and buyer have the option of leaving a feedback for the other ? |

Brooklyn, NY | yes. Seller can leave multiple feedbacks from one topic for multiple buyers, and any buyer can rate seller once from a topic, and nominate item or items they bought in the rating form. |

How do I rate a seller on an item I listed as WTB? (or get a buyer rating for that matter)
There is no link on that type of item?
Can this be coming in the future? |

| i thought it might have some sort of moderation where the option will be turned on once the buyer or seller posts regarding the sale
otherwise the option can be abused in a way.
don't get me wrong, i like it, and i have already used it. but i'm afraid it might give bad results |

Just a quick observation. Can the field for review notes be a little (or a lot) longer? JAWS doesn't tell me that the field has stopped accepting input, and until I hit "read screen" and have the whole thing read back to me, I have no way of knowing I have run out of room.
Other than that, it seems to work great. |

I would make the suggestion that we have the "x reviews in the past 90 days" under the username go back more than 90 days. That would be fine for ebay, but people on here seem to sell at random, often just one sale every 6 months.

I've changed the ratings under a members name to a 6 month time horizon.
Members get a site IM if they are rated by someone, so they can check it out and dispute it if they want (see below).
For sale forum mods have a page to review the ratings pending, and can delete them or make them immutable.
Unfortunately I can't extend the length of the review summary field. The idea is that the key information - item, detailed rating and topic - is already there, so there should not be a lot more to express in that field. Sorry 
As far as possible we added the old ratings to the database. Please review your profile if you believe you should have ratings. If there are mistakes, such as rating people the wrong way around, then please bring that up with state  so it can be corrected. |

Justin, I found a little quirk in the system. If a seller posts an item for sale, but fails to use the [FS] tag, an option is not given to post feedback.
Can this be changed in the system, or is this something that will have to be brought to the attention of the moderators?
