Go into the SR portal (it's been up and down) and forward your number(s) to your new Packet8 number or at least to a cell phone. You should have done that long ago. The gizmo doesn't need to stay up.

From another user, thanks for the advice. My situation is similar.
Now, do you think TB will affect porting to P8? Will the two companies be fighting over my phone number? Will TB hold my number "hostage" if I don't sign up with them? If I don't, what will happen after the supposed "drop dead" date of Monday? Will having my SR number forwarded to my P8 number keep it ringing through after that?

I signed up for P8 on Wednesday, got my adapter Friday, as was up and running on a temporary number in minutes. I went in to SR website and forwarded my calls on my old home number and it seems to work pretty well.

As far as porting, I think that 7-10 days should be a reasonable expectation. I doubt that Teleblend entering the picture has any effect on the process. As to how long the forwarding will continue to work....well who knows.

Thanks. I had the same experience. 2-day Fedex for my adapter. Same setup as SR. If my number ports and I get the same level of service as I did from SR I'll be thrilled _ as long as they at least let me know when this ship hits the iceberg !!

You guys that are porting from SR to Packet8, did you have to fax anything to P8? I didn't see anything about needing when signing up so though maybe they were given some access to verify I am with SR.

No faxing...just fill out the needed info on the signup forms. Had the adapter in 2 days, and port completed the next day.

Yes, for porting, had to fax them an invoice (the only one that SR didn't delete!) and my customer profile (because the invoice didn't have the SR phone number) to prove that it was my phone number and that it was paid up.
