Leach Field

I am hoping someone can help me.

For some reason my leach field has 2 vents pipes. One is 120in coming from the distro. block and one is 4ft coming from the end of the system.

There is nothing in the design plan that indicates why they are needed. I have not seen these on anyone else's system.

They are an eye sore and i would like to put a cap on the pipes coming out of the ground

I would not, due to there is a reason that they are there. You could always put one of those fake boulders to cover them, but leave some space so the vents still work properly.

Somebody probably had a reason to put them in, I would leave them alone.

It sounds like you have an infiltrator chamber type leach field system. If so, disabling those vents would be a bad idea.

I would try the fake boulder but the one is 10 feet high.

I am just curious why i cant find nothing on the internet with leach fields and vents

What is the purpose of them in that system?

If it is 10' high, then that is way too high in my mind, unless you guys get one hell of a snowfall in New Durham every year.

I am about 1500ft high so most storms are measured in feet.

However the one Pipe coming out is only 4ft.

The 10ft one is out of the Distro. block.

The 4 ft is out of the end of the system
