kudos:3 | Update III, George is having lung surgery today. Thought that folks would like to know that I spoke to georgequ  's family over the weekend, and he is scheduled for surgery this morning.
The hope was that the chronic pneumonia he has had would be cleared up before the cancer surgery was preformed, but that is apparently not to be.
He sends his hello's to everyone, and is very optimistic, although he doesn't feel very well at this point.
George's daughter will let us know how things go. I know that he and his family would appreciate everyone's good thoughts and prayers, as he will have a tough recovery.
He does say, however, that he is most annoyed about not having a computer... they won't let him have one now.

Obviously the surgery is medically necessary if it is going forward despite the persistence of the pneumonia. I hope that George is in the thoughts and prayers of all at this time.
