George's daughter just let me know that her dad's surgery was not done today.
The doctors have moved George's procedure to tomorrow at 11:00 AM, to get him clotting better than he is before they start on this venture. His daughter says that they are giving him a variety of clotting factors, and expect to be ready to go tomorrow.
Again, she will give us an update as soon as there is anything to report tomorrow.
Hopefully, everything goes exactly as planned, and George will be on his first step to recovery by this time tomorrow evening!

Update 7/25, George is doing OK, is in the ICU.
Just got the latest update from George's daughter:
George has finally had his surgery, and in-spite of it turning into a very big undertaking, he is really doing well, and the surgery appears to be quite successful.
He will be on a ventilator for a few more days to give his body time to heal without extra effort. The hospital staff is working on keeping George as comfortable as is possible, but he still feels pretty uncomfortable right now.
George and his family appreciate all of the thoughts, prayers, and mojo from his Team Helix friends.
