It was the middle of the night and everything was going as planned. The sniper had taken out a good dozen terrorists before they even had to go in and manually clear out rooms. They only had a few left to take out before they called the mission a success.
They were just beginning to relax when it happened. The lights went out, they heard what sounded like a muted gun shot, then something heavy hit the floor.
"Nightvision" shouted the general. Everyone switched over and looked around. Then they looked on the ground and saw it. John Doe was dead. What had happened, everyone was wondering. The lights popped back on and everyone took off their nightvision goggles.
"I'm not sure what happened here" said the general, "but we best make camp and stick together....it appears we might have a few traitors in our little group here...."Good morning game 22. It is now day time. If anyone feels like making a quick Night/Day graphic I'd appreciate it. With 16 alive it takes 9 to lynch... |

Is the game started or is there a opening scene that is forthcoming? (I am hoping for an opening scene to clarify a question I have about my PM) |

Role Claim time!
I have had plenty of time to consider this so there is no point waiting any longer...
I am the intelligence agent. I can identify the mastermind, but the terrorists have a 1 in 3 chance of discovering me. That means I will probably only live long enough to do 2 or 3 investigations.
So I am revealing my role to ask for medic protection. Let me live longer and we can identify and lynch the mastermind. |

Night or day investigations or would you rather not say. |
|
|
night.
I am doing this straight away in case I do my investigation before the terrorists make their selection. Potentially they could discover me night 1 and select me as their first kill (I think). |

Checking in. I seemed to have misplaced my nun-chucks. If anyone borrowed, please give them back!
Also, who the hell is someone trying to kill the cereal? Please don't it's better than my MREs. |

Checkin' in! Geez Dez, you pulled a Loller!! |

no, I thought it over quite a bit. I think because of the likely hood associated with being discovered it is best if I out myself and ask for protection rather than the terrorists knowing who I am before the rest of the town.
Maybe it would have been ok if I hid out a couple nights relying on luck, but it is too late now. |

I arrived at the same conclusion last game. Investigative roles often die before they can do any good when they stay hidden.
The downside is now everybody will avoid saying anything so as not to appear suspicious and just wait for your picks.
Not that I totally believe you but that would soon be revealed if you are lying. |

I am not a full fledged cop - and I assume there is probably one out there. I can only identify the mastermind. I can not identify common mafia thugs - so it is important not to rely solely on me. |

But it does give us some hope. Never before has there been a role to JUST identify the godfather. Maybe if you can identify the mastermind, then the whole terrorist group will no longer be able to be active. Maybe that is why you are only able to identify the MM (Mastermind NOT M&M chocolate candies)! |

Anyone else have addition info about the "mastermind" role in their PM that they can reveal? My assumption is that when the mastermind dies the terrorists elect a new leader or something. So maybe I can find them all out one at a time. |

Well wouldn't that just SUCK if we get the MM and then another MM is elected!? Then that would mean that the MM must have some kind of important function to the role.
With regular mafia, when the godfather was killed (or godmother in some cases) the other Mafia members were not elected to replace the GF.
Does that make sense? |

In game 16, there were 2 bad guy groups with a godfather/mastermind role. The 2 groups were unaware of who the godfather was, but the godfather knew who the bad guys were. I think we need to keep this possibility open. |
