i contacted verizon yesterday and after going through a ton of bs that i already knew about, they decided to send a repairman over at 8:00 this morning... he never showed up, so i called them and it says i have an open ticket and they wont let me talk to anyone. any suggestions?

How did you know one was supposed to come at 8am?

If you had the ticket created yesterday, the most they could have at any point yesterday would be an estimated dispatch date of today (impossible to have a specific time short of at the most a 4 hour window). Even today the most they could say is if it were assigned to a tech and if he either was already on it, or how many jobs he had prior..

"Lifeline" is a generic term for Federal/State subsidized phone service. A majority of the customers on the Lifeline program are simply low income individuals--very few have it because of medical needs. The account should have been flagged for priority dispatch if it truly was a medical necessity{ie you are hooked up to a heart monitor which communicates with the hospital}. Most disabilities, age, having Life Alert System{as advertised on TV}, and etc will not qualify for a priority dispatch.
