Re: Cat pee'd on carpet... smell help said by LBDSL:I would take the rug to get professionally cleaned, If that doesn't work, buy a new rug. Ditto. Cat pee smell is a bitch to get rid of and usually, other people notice it even if the homeowner doesn't.
If there is even a hint of the smell left, the cat is likely to return to and use the same spot.
