 | Answering your questions on TeleBlend While I will probably have to change my screen name at some point, folks on here know me as the guy who tried to answer customer questions and address issues during my time at SunRocket - hopefully with some degree of success and sincerity. Most know I left the company earlier this year because, well, it is probably fairly obvious at this point.
Needless to say, given the original founders mission at SunRocket that myself and others signed up for, what has transpired for customers the past week has been fairly excruciating to watch and I'm still in some degree of shock.
As most know I'm still in the PR game (on my own now) and because of my background in the space TeleBlend reached out because they realize there is confusion and rumors on the boards, in the press, etc., about who they are and where they came from.
If I can play a role in helping former SunRocket customers make informed decisions than that is something I'm inclined to do. So, what I'd like this thread to be about is helping to answer questions folks might have about the service and company, and perhaps have one of the execs come on this week to answer questions directly.
Let me know what you guys think and what information would be most useful with regards to TeleBlend. |

Any information or form of communication from TeleBlend would be good. Most here are starving for information, and the unanswered e-mails/trouble tickets, and long wait times or auto disconnect on their phones is starting to fuel the controversies here in the forum. So, if they would just be up front and honest with us, and communicate their plans, I am sure alot of the nay-sayers would disappear, and we can move on.
PS- Welcome back Brian! |

LOL
Good luck!
Seriously, I think many would like to know more about the events leading up to the SR demise from a trusted (to this group) insider.

I think what SRBL's trying to do in this one is solicit questions for Teleblend (supposedly not Sunrocket ) to answer for us. Basically a concise list of all the many unanswered questions and rumors and speculation that have arisen to date...

 | reply to tj008 LOL tj. Brave is one word for sure, I can think of a couple others. The inside SunRocket story, huh? Well, that certainly would be a page turner. The press got some of it right but of course the real story doesn't always fit into a quarter-page of the Business Section.
I'm going to do the best I can here, same as always. |

 | reply to TeleBlendBL I guess I'll ask the 800lbs. gorilla question...
From all indications the information that has been reported here and elsewhere, Teleblend is the same company as SunRocket. Is that true? Just a different name on the Titanic?
From a consumer perspective, how can we be assured that the downfall that lead to SR won't happen to Teleblend? People need some confidence that their $ won't just be flushed again... I for one did lose 11 months of paid service with SR.
I'm looking for good management (proven track record), good financial backing, and overall good customer service & service quality.
Thanks in advance! |

Re: Answering your questions on TeleBlend dancheri that is of course the most critical of questions: specifically - consumers now need to choose another VoIP provider (or PSTN) so what is the best way to evaluate those providers.
This announcement from Friday (»www.tmcnet.com/usubmit/2007/07/2···1637.htm) talks a little about USA Telephone, a CLEC that has been around since 1999 delivering residential and small business telephone/tv/internet - mostly in the Northeast Corridor.
Over the next couple of days I'll have an exec come on and talk a little bit about the leadership team and company expertise in the space.

I for one would like Teleblend to address the issue of Porting and what if anything is going to happen to our SR phone numbers. Will we be able to port after "the lights go out" at SR?? Can they take some action which will expedite the process for those of us that want to port.
Thanks

 | reply to dmolavi While dmolavi, may sound straight forward, I would like to repeat it. Teleblend has made it clear on their Website, that they are not Sunrocket, therefor have no right to previous Sunrocket assets (ie the gizmo) So, why was the password changed on these devices, and could they either be reset or the password given back to us. |

Of course, any help or info you can give would be wonderful. If you begin to reveal too much, your reward may just be an offer to return to the SR/TB company. |

 | reply to TeleBlendBL If they really want to be helpful, they should tell their PR person to stop telling us that Teleblend doesn't know the passwords to our devices. They were changed on Friday, well after Teleblend was claiming they had nothing to do with SR... and yet, miraculously, TB still has access to our ATA's.
All they are doing is making me really, really, mad, since they are basically stealing all I have left after being cheated by SR. And I will look for any way to get back the funds I will have to spend to get a new ATA. Since I have signed no agreement with them, I'm not bound by any arbitration provisions or jurisdiction mandates. They stole my ATA in Virginia, so I hope they are prepared to go to Small Claims Court in VA.
The fact that they have to steal our ATA's demonstrates that they don't even believe their service is the best option. TB should minimize the bad feelings and do the right thing by giving us our passwords back. It would also show their openness and honesty, which might get them some loyalty from SR customers who want the easiest transition. (I can guarantee that with how mad I am now at TB I would NEVER go with them.)
How often are you in communication with them? When can we expect an answer to the question that everyone is asking?
I appreciate what *it sounds like* you are trying to do. For better or worse, your credibility now rides on whether TB gives you the answers to these questions and what those answers are. |

BPremium,MVM join:2000-10-28 | Yeah, I realize you're still in "question gathering mode" here SRBL, but it might behoove you to get relevant executives (preferably CEO or President, but CIO might do in a pinch) in here sooner (like today) rather than later, before this turns into a justifiable bitchfest... If the company's concerned about all the negative vibes, the best thing they can do is... show up.
Conversely, if that's not in the cards and the process will be to gather questions first, please give us a timeline for when answers might be expected. Thanks!

Those who have signed up for TB have paid our $12.95 (plus taxes), but aren't receiving the "exact same services". In fact, we're receiving the same services as those who didn't sign up for TB.
Will TB be issuing pro-rated service credits until our service is the same as that offered by SR?

tj008 join:2004-06-24 Cincinnati, OH | reply to TeleBlendBL Question: If Teleblend is a new subsidiary of Unified Communications, why was the changeover so botched up? I mean, Unified/USA Telephone are well established companies, why couldnt the trained resources be tapped and utilized right away to make a smooth transition, make a nice website, etc.
Question: All we see is cash grab by a company that came in and took over the SR lease agreements on space, equipment, customers, phone number suppliers, and phone lines. How is Teleblend a company doing business other than this?

| reply to TeleBlendBL I'd like an explanation of who's authority that TeleBlend was given all of our private SunRocket information. Furthermore, now that they have my data I require some description of what procedures were put into effect to protect that data.
TeleBlend will forever be an Enemy since they seem to have acquired (or in any case been granted) data content that they should have never had access to. If there is ever any hint of identify theft issues and/or CC fraud then they're the first ones that should be investigated. |

BPremium,MVM join:2000-10-28 | reply to scdgoofy Well, if you're going to go down that path, shouldn't "exact same service" include the free signature numbers, international calling allowance, etc., etc.?
My questions are architectural in nature:
Exactly what parts of the Sunrocket network infrastructure does Teleblend control and NOT control?
SIP Servers, Registration Servers? Provisioning Servers? Proxies? DNS? Data Center? Remote Gateways? Web servers? Billing servers? Back-end business function servers? Credit card processing? E-Mail?
What IP address ranges, relevant to Sunrocket's old addresses and relevant to VoIP service in general, are controlled by Teleblend?
What relationships with network providers (Level3 et al., ISPs, etc.) has Teleblend continued to maintain from Sunrocket? What new network providers are in play?
How can Teleblend continue to light up the entire Sunrocket network without access to all of Sunrocket's network resources and 3rd party relationships?
Exactly what bits of customer data were transferred to Teleblend and by what authority did that transfer take place?
Is Teleblend in control of all of Sunrocket's equipment?
What is the exact technical methodology by which Teleblend has / is / will be separating the Teleblend network from the Sunrocket network?
If the answer to any of these is in effect "none of your business" as I suspect will be the case, that will not reflect well upon Teleblend's intentions towards its potential customer base.
