Re: Answering your questions on TeleBlend

Ok, here is an initial crack at some answers. This doesn't hit every single question I know, and may not fully satisfy everyone, but it is a start and we can go from here. I think some of the answers are actually pretty frank and to the point.

1. How can TeleBlend light up access to SunRocket Network resources and 3rd party vendor relationships?

Teleblend has been footing the bill and working with the vendors giving former SunRocket customers time to transition to another provider. This is short term and it is recommended that folks that want to keep their number either subscribe with TeleBlend or port to another vendor they should in the next few days.

2. What about passwords for all of the locked gizmos? Will they remain locked and why?

TeleBlend does not have the passwords and yes as far as we can tell they will remain locked. They will stay this way so former SunRocket customers can still make calls while the current services are maintained by Sherwood Partners, LLC.. But again customers should transition to another provider as soon as possible.

3. What about rumors that TeleBlend is blocking calls to ViaTalk customers?
Teleblend is not blocking calls to ViaTalk or any other vendor.

4. Is helpdesk # fully functioning at this time? What steps are being taken to decrease hold times and when will that occur?
At this time the only helpdesk that is functioning is the 800 number to the Teleblend call center which has been handling 10,000 calls plus a day. The hold times are unfortunately long and it would be best if former SunRocket and new TeleBlend customers would access the website. Eventually for those who have transitioned the wait times will be more reasonable.

5. Will TeleBlend offer same feature set (voice mail, call waiting, etc.)? If not, what features will be offered?

We are working with a new voice mail vendor and and hope to have the feature set posted soon. The next step will be to post when voice mail will be available.

6. Email/Trouble Tickets – Are they going to be answered more quickly going forward?

Currently TeleBlend support folks are working through thousands of email/trouble tickets and we hope to have a response to most by weeks end.

7. What is the porting process? Do customers need to port or do their SunRocket numbers just become automatically part of the TeleBlend network?

Once you have signed up with Teleblend and you have received your confirmation email the very next step should be to power down you gizmo and wait a few minutes and then power it back on. That is all that should be required to keep your dial tone operating.

8. What relationships are TeleBlend forging with network providers to maintain service? Is TeleBlend in control of all SR's equipment?

Teleblend is building additional relationships with Telco providers who are sympathetic to the former SunRocket customer’s current situation. Teleblend has also brought on new vendors that had not previously been part of the SunRocket infrastructure. Sherwood Partners is responsible for the assets of SunRocket.

sorry but that doesn't sound right.. if we need to power down our gizmo and bring it up.. that is so that it can pull in new provisioning file. It means that someone is putting in new provisioning file. Well if someone is putting new prosivioning file, then he/she can certainly see/update the gizmo password.

Another question please. What about international calling? When will that functionality be restored?

I signed up with Teleblend on 7/19 and received my confirmation on 7/20. I have powered down the gizmo a few times since then, but the sip information still points to Sunrocket. Is this correct or do I have a problem?

I will Start off by saying to the Employees of former Sunrocket that i was always treated courteous & friendly and hope for the best for you in the future but not your management . As far as the new company let me put it like this. If General Motors changed there name or tell me they are a new company taking over and my warranty would be no good and i would have to pay now for that 5 year warranty I would never buy from them again and by word of mouth tell all my friends. as for now i have ordered my numbers ported to my Sprint cell phone but Sunrocket / TeleBlend are dragging there feet on giving back my number that i have had for over 10 years and changed my password to my ATA

Not necessarily. According to the Innomedia Admin Guide (link) page 79 states:
quote:
NOTE: You must enable and configure the provisioning mode (see Configuring Control Parameters (Me, 2) on page 73) before you can use the "Pv" command to configure the provisioning setting. The default password for sec_vsp (816), sec_tftp (762), and SecHTTPI (9768) is 12345678901234567890123456789012.

So you see there's a provisioning password, and that's a different thing than the admin logon password.

TB has apparently been granted exclusive control of the SR infrastructure. So when your device goes looking for its SR provisioning as was in the firmware then it's encountering servers and provisioning data that is now being controlled by TB. Via the provisioning there's quite a few settings they can establish to lock OUR devices to them. TB knows the provisioning password and that's allowing them full control of the gizmo devices.

If TB wants to smell less dirty about claiming no knowledge of the access passwords then they should provide the provisioning password. They may have paid something to Sherwoood for the SR servers and IP scheme but they don't have rights to lock devices that we screwed customers paid SR for.

The TB thing seems totally wrong. I would love some way to remove & scrub all my private data from anything that TB has gotten access to, whether they got it via legal means or not.

I took my gizmo elsewhere. It's working quite well with Net2Phone, and that service will cost about $2/month for the next year. I honestly don't see why anyone would rush for TB when there's clearly better companies to deal with. Nobody has to subscribe with TB in order to port their former SR phone numbers. Those phone#'s were not an asset of SR and they aren't owned by Sherwood or TB.

I have the same exact thing.
I believe the TB is still working on the old SR network, that's the reason we do not have intl. calls and not VM.
Who knows when they will switch!!
In regards to the Gizmo password,AC-211, search for it, you will find it.

Could anyone please answer this:

Is everyone else able to view their first bill? When I click on My Bills, I don't see any bills listed the under "Due date" pull down menu, so viewing statement gives nothing. Please let me know. Thanks!

#1 and #2 contradict each other. In #1, they say TB is footing the bill for SR customers...but in #2, he says that Sherwood partners is maintaining services.

Please explain.

New Question re: number porting.

The "answer" provided says sign up for TB or someone else "in the next few days".

We all know that number port takes 20 business days. If the lights go out in a few days, do we lose our number?

(I have signed up with a provider and they have number port LOA for 1 week but obviously nothing completed yet.....but they need TIME to get it done).

What happends to SR numbers that don;t go to TB and are waiting for port?

New Question.

Many people have signed up to TB just to "protect their number".

Will TB allow them to port out if they wish?

Will there be any restrictions on this porting out? (e.g. only numbers ported in to SR versus SR assigned numbers?)

It seems the only thing in place and working is the billing equiptment, i was always under the impression that you should have all your ducks in a row before starting something up like this. I see the headlines now, Teleblend doomed from the start.

I think this is what I've been able to gather from some other smarty pants around these parts.

from what i understand SR never owned the numbers, it's the CLEC upstream that owned them. in my case, i had two SR numbers, one owned by Global Crossing and the other owned by Focus Communications. These CLECs are who your new voip co's will be in touch with regarding porting.

Also, from what I've read, after SR goes dark, the numbers will be released back to the general pool owned by the CLEC. That's why many, like myself, decided to go to TB in the interim to park my number with them, and not allow them to slip back into the general pool.

A bit off-topic but: after reading this thread ViaTalk is looking a lot more attractive, even with their slow response time over the past week. At least they are providing a complete service upon activation. Voicemail, international calling, etc. are included - what a concept!

Unfortunately your credibility just disappeared. Someone has access to the passwords because mine was changed. If you don't have access, and you are using the SunRacket equipment (that changes the password), who does? Please answer that question specifically and unequivocally. I'm a TB subscriber for now, but if this question is not answered honestly and satisfactorily, I'm moving. The good news is that I don't care about my phone number since TB/SR is my second line.

Hi SRBL,

Thanks for coming here to answer these questions since nobody at TB can answer a 5 day old ticket.
I have one simple question:
