I've been on RevA for a few months and never see over 1250 k.  I've also traveled a few hundred miles and never seen any faster than this in any of the areas i got RevA coverage in.  As others have mentioned, not all towers provide the bandwidth to pull 2+ mb even though the wireless technology itself is capable.  If you're lucky, you might be connected to a tower with more capacity, and might be able to pull 2 mb.  Look at the speed test results for spcsdns.net.]]></description>

The capacity is on in the card to handle 3.1mbps, but the tower can't push it since it doesn't have a big enough pipe.
