Re: Use two adapters with one number?

Finally someone that realizes that MagicJack is just re-hashing an existing product. It's not new, and no different that any other software phone, which you can already use with USB handsets etc.

Too bad you can't understand that MJ is not going to be around for long. Good luck....

Magicjack offers a similar service for $19.95 a year.

Great...thank you. I'll keep the V-Phone and use it when I'm traveling. Doesn't seem like a big deal to change to that temporarily.

My bad, I gave out some wrong info. the option is called 'Move A Number' & it is on the 'Add-ons' page. Sorry.

Sorry, a Vonage phone number can only be assigned to one device at a time. However, you can change what device your number is assigned to whenever you want thru you Vonage Online Account. The option is called 'Move-A-Line' & it is located on the 'Orders' page.

I have successfully completed the switch from SunRocket to Vonage...my Motorola adapter arrived a little while ago and is now up and running with my successfully ported number. A few days ago, I went to Best Buy and purchased the V-Phone (little USB thumb drive) thinking I could go ahead and set it up with my Vonage temporary number while I waited for my router to arrive and number to port. I wasn't able to do this (CS told me my account was linked to the router I had not yet received), but I decided to keep the V-Phone to see if I can set it up for travel use with my permanent Vonage number. When I try to set it up, it prompts me to "move" my number to it. Does anyone know if it's possible to have two different adapters (the Motorola and the V-Phone) both linked to my number, or do I have to choose one or the other?

Thanks,
