I did not have to provide any credit card information. Nowhere did I agree to changing to the paid package. I did the mistake of purchasing domain names and providing my credit card information. The next thing I find out is notice from collection agency about unpaid balance. Since 1and1 had my credit card information from domain name purchase, they conviniently used it to upgrade me to the paid service. The tried to charge my credit card for the hosting service but the card had expired. So they sent my account to collection agency. I am writing complaints to Better Business Bureau and Pennsylvania Attorney General Mr. Tom Corbet.
