Re: East Tennessee latency problems

As always, IsdnWolf is on top of things in the East TN area. Thanks again, we're lucky to have you man!

I didn't notice the bad hop last night but I'll keep an eye on it in the weeks to come.

Re: East Tennessee latency problems

Sounds like you guys are going to be golden soon.

We had a new OC-48 added to our existing OC, and it has helped tremendously in the G'bham area.

I know some areas still have speed issues.. But a majority do not.. If you are fed off the Headend in Leeds.. I can attribute your bandwidth will be fulfilled. Not only are there two 48's running, but the upgrade to 10series + has been in place.

Just a long way of saying,.. I think you'll be pleased with the added bandwidth.

Also, ISDN, I didn't know you worked for Charter. -- For some reason I thought you were with the Telco,.. have you worked for Charter for a looong time? Or just a few years?

Take care,

Re: East Tennessee latency problems

10 Years in October...

I was with the Georgia group before transferring to TN. I have been getting an itch for something else though. Perhaps one of the smaller ISP's in the area.

Going to renew my CCNA in a couple of weeks and then knock out the CCNP after that. Perhaps I will put myself out in the job market in another couple of months..

Who knows. Charter has been good to me though. No hurry now.
