I know this is older technology but it is new to me. I found it in a Good Will store for $5. It has no battery but looks to be in good shape so I'm taking a chance and buying this battery from Amazon »www.amazon.com/DSTE-EN-E ··· 0D5NU40U and if it work great and if it don't I'm not out that much.

NIKON D7100
30mm 1/50th F16 ISO200

After nearly five years of using my Nikon D-60 »Re: The One, The Only...Box Shot Thread! (part three) (2008-08-22), I upgraded to a Nikon D7100.

Wow. Autofocus (other than the kit lens), a whole bunch of stops better ISO performance, and super fast shot cycle times have me wondering why I didn't go for a more "pro" camera sooner. I can't go back.

I also bought two 32 GB SDHC memory cards - one for each slot.

NIKON D90

I wanted a rugged small-toss-in-a-pocket-and-take-anywhere camera so I picked this up. Being too impatient to wait for the battery to charge, I took a couple of test images. They are not as soft as the reviews would lead you to believe. I think this will fit my needs exactly.

just a quick note: the 35 might be my new fav lens!!

Congrats! It is a stellar lens without a doubt! Try out the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 HSM lens sometime if you really want to have some even better fun! I always loved slapping a 50/55mm fast lens on my film SLRs and so still do on my dSLRs, but to get the same fov and all that jazz I have to use a 30/35mm lens instead of the 55/55mm. But that Sigma 30mm f/1.4 gave about a full stop more and I find it soooo much more useful!

Some other options for those of you wanting that range but for low bucks... Snag a Chinon 35mm f/2.8 lens as well as the Chinon 28mm f/2.8 lenses and an M42 thread mount adapter. Great lenses.

Considering how much I *love* my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 on my 7D, I bet you're going to get a kick out of that Nikkor.

Fast normal prime?! Yes, please!

Congrats pwnage See Profile!

Here's my latest addition. I normally dislike ring flashes/lights except for portraits, but with the dual adjustable strength flash tubes, this should do very well for gemstones, jewelry, and mainly mineral specimens. . Price was just too good to pass it up too!
