Sigma 17-50mm EX DC OS HSM |
- 17-50mm EX DC OS HSM for Nikon I've had the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 for years. Loved it, but we'll see how this compares. So far, the Sigma version is significantly more compact and lighter, has OS, and about 1/2 the price. The Nikon body is on the way... |

Care to advise what kind of QC issues? I've got the same lens and love mine. |

said by Rubicon6:hmm. maybe QC issues. going to exchange for another one. What issues? And if can do without for a little bit, send it to Sigma instead of exchange. You will get back a phenomenal lens hand tweaked. I did this with my old Sigma 70-300mm Super DL Macro(non-DG & non-APO) as I knew they were soft a little at 300mm as most 7#-300mm consumer lenses are, but I felt it was too soft, sent it in, in a week or two( I think it was one week, but memory not real good today sorry) got it back and it performed on par with the original EF 70-200mm F/4 USM L. |

D7000 box. It's nice, but I definitely miss my D300 + 17-55mm DX combo. Have been having focus issues - but can't rule out the camera body. While it does have an AF-fine tune adjust feature, still tweaking. Other than that, it's certainly a fine camera |

Congrats on the new camera too! |

How are you going to get any photos with that thing - it doesn't appear to have a lens. |

I know you've had the flash for a while, when did you pick the G11 up? |

I think it's great for the pricepoint, but since I haven't explored all of the available accessories, so I might run into limitations down the road. Alien Bees get a lot of positive reviews, but for starting out, I didn't want to invest too much into studio - especially since the speedlights I have work well in most conditions. |

I think all that really matters with strobes is that they help you get the image you want. Looking forward to the images you make with that. I have two AB800 and love them, though they aren't cheap. |
