TekSavvy on Wikipedia?? :D

»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_in_Canada

Was wondering who would like to start a wiki entry on TS?

If someone does, be sure to include the fabulous ratings they receive here, along with probably the best ranking on dslreports!

I hate rogers and their CRAP tech. support... But, MAJOR kudos to the TekSavvy team!

Since I already had a Wikipedia account made a long time ago, i created a page for TekSavvy.

Go here: »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TekSavvy_Solutions_Inc

Nothing is added yet, but, everyone on here should feel free to go to that page and add in whatever they like (that is related to TekSavvy afcourse).

Ill try and add in more information soon. But this is a good idea KPaul :P

Thanks you, I thought I should add it in there, makes bell look worse and thats the only way they are going to learn and hopefully bring jobs back here.

Just my $0.02 worth....

Wouldn't the anti-Bell comments get somebody at Bell upset and perhaps they may do something "bad" in retaliation (regardless of how true they are)?

I guess so. Not sure who added the bell comment, but I guess since its wikipedia, they can edit it as much as they want, its their choice really. Remember.. this is wikipedia.. if you think something in there is wrong, or incorrect.. then edit it :P

True but like others have said Anybody could put up any comments they want. So its not like Bell is going to say. HEY Teksavvy you guys are saying bad things to us, "Bell Casts a Spell on Teksavvy" All their servers go down.

If anything it may open their eyes a little and be like...hey maybe they really dont like Indian Tech support.....

A little off topic but since you made the original post I going to say my peace on this.

Bell bringing back jobs to Canada is only 1 very small slice of the whole pie. Until the management actually give a &(_*&_# sh** nothing is going to change.

Telus is in the same boat not to mention numerous ISP's in the States

Something else making Teksavvy look good is fine. But I would not use wiki..... as a way to insult Bell. You never know how things are going to come back around at you in the long term. Bell is fact of life in Canada be thankfull you have guys like Rocky and the crew to deal with them for you. Other wise you would be dealing them and screaming in the Bell forums.

LOL... Was away for the last week and just read this thread and link! Thanks for making wikipedia a little more Tech Savvy! Hehehe....

As a few of you have indicated, I would maybe remove the Bell portion in there as, we do have a great relationship with the Bell Groups and, as much as it's not likely to ruffle too many feathers, it's probably better not to have that portion in there.

In either case thanks for making the time to write about us in there!

Regards,

Rocky

Alright, I edited the "Internet in Canada" page. Edited it so that you can now click on TekSavvy and be directed to our new Wikipedia page

I added pricing and a note on modems: "Both options are priced at CAD29.95 plus GST and require the customer to purchase or otherwise supply his/her own modem."

I figured I would maybe jump in once you've all had your fun... Everyone's doing a great job at it and I don't want to direct it. Figured I might let the group come up with something. Sometimes a little change in the mentality is a good thing!

As for the logo... Is there a certain dimension to follow? If not, I suppose we could just take the same one as DSLR?

Rocky, can you provide some company history within the forum topic?
-founded in ___, as ________, incorporated in ____, etc..
- approx __ employees
- offices in _____
- privately owned by _________
- ___ customers (may be more info than you want to give)
- etc.....

Of course the level of detail you wish to disclose would be up to you. If someone like myself or ABundy (err, KPaul) posted it on wikipedia, it would then be at least somewhat unbiased.
