| reply to exocet_cm This doesn't work on Opera 9 or SuiteMonkey 2.0. I see the dots but they are not clickable. I have java script enabled. I got it to work on Fx only after I visited my profile. I have no idea why doing that would make it work on Fx. It worked on IE from the get-go. That is the only browser it works on properly (for me) without having to do something like going to the profile page first on Fx. If I try to click on the dots in Opera, that just causes the page load time in the status bar to refresh. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet. | reply to Bobcat The top right of any page on the site has a little indicator, a white letter on a black background, that almost instantly swaps to the reverse theme. One with a question mark allows you to preview some other themes. You can also (if you enter a forum with a theme that looks ok for you) click the "about" button and pick that theme to over-ride everything site-wide.
And you didn't mention whether changing font-size works for you or not.
it is pretty easy to blast away with posts first and ask others for possible workarounds later (or not at all), but I do prefer you explore the settings available to you before busting up other, unrelated, topics. |

| reply to justin At least one other person complained about the gradient, so it's not just me.
As far as themes are concerned, I'm using the default theme and have no idea what other themes are available or how to switch them (and I have no desire to spend time messing with them anyway). Using a web site shouldn't be about having to mess with various settings.
But it's your football site and you can do whatever you want. |

| reply to Bobcat said by Bobcat :by making it impossible for me to read. Ok forgive me if I don't back out a change that only one person finds unacceptable (you) when you've not looked very hard for a workaround and instead take pot-shots in unrelated topics.
There are two default themes on this site, high-contrast (white on black) and default (black on white). The tool tips are readable by anyone with even poor eyesight EVEN IF they don't change their browser default font size (which should be the normal reaction to difficult to read text).
Lets see:

You find the contrast too startling? or black isn't a fav color (dimaging has a nicer not completely black theme).
And on default

You can't read the first line of this one? Really? How about if you do one single Ctrl-+ (or whatever your browser has for increase-font-size).
Then remember there are a dozen other themes to pick, and some of them probably have graduations that are even less intrusive (i'm too lazy to go screenshot them all), but personally I think if if you've having trouble reading either of these screenshots you just need to do Ctrl-+ and increase your font size. Then you can stop accusing me of breaking lots of stuff (I mean, of course I break stuff for minutes or hours or sometimes longer, but I don't want stuff "broken", and don't think these screenshots are "broken"). |

For example, I liked the tool tips popups (or whatever they were called) when they were added, but then you went and broke it by making it impossible for me to read. |
