I'm sorry to see

Mr Willner and his partners sell the remaining company off.

As a former Insight customer in Columbus, Ohio..and actually, their very first broadband customer the day their predecessor, coaxial communications..rolled it out in early 1998...(just a one way system back then..cable download telco dialup return)..I certainly had a long history with them and found them to be a world class operation.

I think this is a VERY exciting time to be in this business and really envy those who are and the opportunities that are before them. The opportunities for growth are incredible and while many choose to acquire others these days, I think they sometimes forget the wealth of business sitting there in their homes passed markets, where customers aren't doing business with them today.
Actually, I think that the right strategy today by the right cable operators can see them literally taking over the phone business in their respective markets. Triple play is a powerful tool to accomplish just that.

I guess the money that these assets are commanding these days though is a real temptation. 4000~5000.00 per subscriber is a nice premium to be had. But, still..I think that it's worth it given the opportunity for growth for those with the right strategies and ambitions.

Personally, If I were this companies CEO, I wouldn't be selling it. I'd be getting VERY excited about that which I owned, and really putting the pedal to the metal..and growing this business and expanding into new territories.

Opportunities don't come around like this everyday to be a part of something so big and exciting.

And, to sell it off before it's even out of the gate just seems wrong to this outside observer.

Good luck though..to everyone involved.

And, may the best company win.
