Legitimate selling of copper affected

This kinda thing also hurts those that are legitimately trying to get rid of copper.

I recently assisted in the refit of some wiring, and ended up with about 70+ pounds of very old 25pair and almost 100 pounds of Cat2 (it was an old building).

I had to jump through hoops to drop the stuff off. Even then I had to go back for the money while they verified my "story".

I DO understand why they are doing it, but my point is that these idiots are making it hard for the rest of us who do this for a living. They are even talking about issuing local permits to allow certain people to sell copper back without the hassle. I just see that as making a new part that can be exploited. Copper Launderers.
