obvious question, but...

didn't he read the agreement and see that there wasn't such a plan in place for him?

Irresistible baiting attempt

Apple users don't worry about agreements.
They just naturally assume that since its from Apple there won't be any problems.

Hmmmm.... They need a smiley here for Evil Wicked Grin.

Re: obvious question, but...

At $.005 per KB he spent $3000. Doesn't seem like "sporadic AT&T EDGE network usage" of an iPhone to me.

585MB of usage over 2 weeks.

Edit: That assumes the bill was entirely for data. There's probably quite a few phone calls mixed in there as well.

The question is... how can you use that much data on EDGE? LOL. Or as most of the folks around here call it sluDGE.

Yeah, really...

Idiots complain when they get raped for their abnormal usage that they clearly agreed too when they signed the contract.

All the iPhone hype and this idiot probably didn't read the contract!

Sure, the company is wrong to charge so much, but this guy doesn't have a leg to stand on IMHO.

You're right..video content could have put him over the top. Being away from home, maybe he needed his fix of porn.
There you go....get iporn for your iphone!

Was he quoted $.005/KB or ¢.005/KB?

Is that KB (Kilobyte) or Kb (Kilobit)?

*snicker* I remember that debate. And how many people couldn't figure out the difference between them.

Agreement or not a $3000 dollar bill is clearly highway robbery.

Actually, midget porn is cheaper than regular porn on a pay per kb plan since screen height requires half as many pixels....

That was hilarious yet horribly frustrating at the same time.
