| reply to latichever It was fixed for a short time yesterday but I'm seeing it again this morning. For me personally, it does not warrant an escalation to the DIRECT forum. It's system wide and the right people have been made aware of the issue. -- Rich. My Website - ThisIsPico.Com including the AT&T/SNET Status Page |

| Still slow this morning for me as well. I can send mail without a problem but am getting errors on the incoming email. For the last several days I didn't get an error, Outlook Express just took a long time, about three minutes, to check incoming email. Sometimes it hangs and Outlook would simply say Error with no message. I have verified that the server settings are correct and checked them against the ATT DSL email setup information off their website.
This morning, I am getting this message occasionally. I've blocked out the email name.
"Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'email_name@sbcglobal.net', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F" |

| reply to latichever I am getting slow responses as well to the mail servers.
Wonder if they are doing it on purpose so that we have to check our mail by webmail to see all the pretty ads they have? Wouldn't put it past them.
My problem seems to be just time outs trying to get my mail. And it doesn't happen to all my email accounts (I have 7 to check since I am the only one with the computer ATM.) |

All mine have the @snet.net domain (and have been migrated to Yahoo). Of course if you are using the old, old SNET servers, you probably aren't having this issue. -- Rich. The snet.net email was migrated over years ago and is currently using the pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com servers that my two troubled sbcglobal.net accounts are using. Strange how the snet.net email address doesn't have incoming email problems but the sbcglobal.net ones do. |

Nothing like seeing a mail notification from Y!IM then being unable to get the item either on the web or dl'd to OL98. |

| reply to latichever YES..I'd say last few days at least..occurs on both my PCs which are different OSs, AV, and running different versions of OE. "Live Chat" with ATT last night was fruitless..they want me to re-install OE even though sometimes I receive email OK and sometimes not. They also tried to blame it my AV and firewall which I disabled as a test..made no difference. They dodged my direct question about the POP 3 server until I asked the 3rd time..they responded it was fine...(sure it is). |
