Re: AT&T email--Yahoo vs. Worldnet said by spectre1000:Part of the point of keeping my email was to not have Yahoo. You can't get at&t Yahoo! HSI without getting Yahoo!. But you don't have to use the Yahoo! SMTP servers. I just switched back to 'smtpauth.sbcglobal.net' after evaluating the function of the latest update to Mercury/32 (v.4.51), which added SSL capability to the SMTP relay client. I don't really need SSL, so 'smtpauth.sbcglobal.net' works well enough for me.
Alas, you do have to use the Yahoo! POP3 servers, and they appear to be really flaky at this time.
FWIW, my email domain is, 'pacbell.net'. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |
