A Bell

N.A. stuck in 20th century.

North America is not at the technological leading edge anymore, Europe is. I recently rented an apartment in Paris for a month. The apartment is on the 7th floor (North American 8th floor)in a Haussman period (18th Century) building. It had LiveBox internet which included IPTV,VOIP,unlimited broadband from a fibre connection. I was amazed at how good the IPTV worked and the totally net neutral internet connection. I also had a French Bouygues cellphone network SIM card in my unlocked GSM phone and didn't pay for any incoming calls, including data, on a pay-as-you-go (Carte Nomad) plan. »aka.e-merchant.com/12-carte-nomad-gamme.html In my neighbourhood in Paris, there were at least 15 cellphone stores, independents and the majors, within 10 minutes walking distance which offered a variety of very competitive plans and many different cellphones at very competitive prices. North America is technologically stuck in the 20th century because of the lack of open competition.
