Since they did not back-up the original Firmware before flashing, they are now locked out of reverting back to the supported by Earthlink original Firmware.

Regards, Doctor Olds I don't think that you can backup the firmware from device itself on ZyXEL devices. |

Riuski join:2005-12-16 Alhambra, CA 1 edit | reply to gmx33 You cannot back up the firmware from an existing device, only the configuration file, which doesn't do you any good. Your best option at this point is to tell us exactly which model you have. The P660R has different suffixes to indicate the chips being utilized, and each model has different firmware and boot ROM. Post exactly what model your modem is (on the label) and someone here will try to find the firmware appropriate for your device. The trick is figuring out how to get it on there. Are you still able to log into the unit? |

I don't see anywhere in this thread that mentions exactly which model gmz33 possesses. Simple deduction. The poster is coming from the Covad Domain and Covad doesn't use the ZyXEL, but Earthlink does provide all new customers (since January 2006) with the ZyXEL P660R-ELNK so I can only deduce this is a Earthlink customer on Covad provisioning.
