Surewest doesn't suck

Would you care to explain why you think Surewest sucks so bad?

They have a very fast/reliable service and use Level 3 as their backbone.

I have had a good experience in the past (~1yr ago) with their tech support people. They were very responsive and usually were able to send out a tech the next day if it was needed.

Their customer service is acceptable as well. The only issue I have had is if you need an answer to a specific question they will usually put you on hold for a couple minutes so they can get you an answer. In my opinion they have much better service then most ISPs.

I would recommend Surewest over any any of the other Sacramento area ISP. Faster connection and better service for a lower price then the competitors.

SureWest works great for me

I have just switched to SureWest 20Mbs bidirectional fiber and couldn't be happier. I have not had a single glitch that I'm aware of. I have tested and find I am truly receiving the advertised speeds, in fact, I sent a 6GB compressed file averaging 23Mbps! That is FASTER than advertised! I have only called tech support once, and that was to confirm my static IP details for my router. They guy didn't know what a default gateway was, but he asked someone else there and they knew... other than waiting a bit while he asked someone what it was I was looking for, he DID give me correct information. I can only sing praises for SureWest's service and curious as to why someone would say differently. So far, it has been much more reliable than Comcast was.

Re: sure west service sucks

I've had Surewest 10mb fiber since they arrived in Carmichael, 3 years, never had a problem or waited longer than 10 minutes for tech support.
