Avtivation

The scam is in the $200 activation fee for non-pppoe, and for non pppoe you only get 10gb bandwith additional bandwith is $3/gb.

They do not necessarily control prices, they have the final say but the wholesaler (Bell Canada) charges quite a bit for it. This is because they do not want to provision non-PPPoE anymore and it requires much more work to provision, which Bell does by themselves.

You don't "only" get 10gb. It's 100gb actually.

Hi tamovies,

In Ontario/Quebec, the affordable flavour through Bell is PPPoE service. Bell Charges us $200 for installing Non-PPPoE, and as Rick mentioned, the service comes with 100GB of transit, or if you prefer you can also get the Unlimited option over a different network.

...no scams.

That's correct.

If on the 100GB service, if you go over you can purchase an additional block of 10GB for $20 (so $2/GB) or on a Gig by gig scenario at $3/GB.

Alternatively you can also go through our unlimited network for the set rate. Regardless, this is a very low selling product (a little over 50 clients on it) as PPPoE is where it's at in Canada.
