| reply to IanR ... and how many didn't go with Packet8 or TeleBend? I didn't go with either. Why would I trust the advice of SunRocket?
Instead I went to »/gbu, read the reviews, and chose the company that had the price/features I was comfortable with. |

 | reply to IanR I had two lines with Sunrocket. One I ported to Vonage with little problem.
The other I ported to Packet8, also with little problem.
The Packet8 LNP (local number portability) transfer has not taken place. The Vonage LNP, done a few days earlier went smoothly.
I tried to move both numbers to Vonage at the same time, but the sales person could not handle it complexity. So, I am trying the Packet8 for the second line. The Packet8 equipment is very nice, a cordless phone with the VOIP works in the phone base (Uniden).
It has been relatively hassle free, but I have had to keep up with a lot of details.
I recently paid for both lines at $199 per line from Sunrocket. I am trying to get my money back with the help of my credit card company. It will take a few weeks, but hopefully I will get a refund for the 10 months that were not used. |

tazCO join:2004-01-14 Indian Hills, CO | reply to IanR I signed up with packet8 but after 2 weeks they still haven't shipped my device so I just canceled and went with Vonage. Vonage is sending their's next day so now I just need my number ported. Packet8 just can't ramp up to meet the demand, I guess. Maybe I'll try them next year. |
