1. Be wary of any up front pre-paid service. Once they have your money, who knows what will happen? 2. SR's prices were too low. If you go with another really low, low cost VoIP provider, they'll fold too. 3. Stick with the well known, stable, old time companies like VoicePulse, P8, Broadvoice (yes, I know they have had some problems), Vonage and a few others. Avoid all these new startup with their super low pricing. They won't last. 4. People keep mentioning Vonage being a "patent" stealer. Every VoIP company is guilty of the same thing if Verizon has it's way. They are simply starting off with the easiest target without the cash to fight back. When Verizon sues AT&T's CallVantage VoIP service for the same patent infringement, that will be interesting since AT&T can fight back with their deep pockets. |
