Re: windstream Line Monitor Group is in business thanks fourboxers, now if i could just know how to access and use the info from the monitoring...lol..new to this |

1 recommendation | You're here on the group monitor page »/testhistory?v···n=ec&p=3 accessible on the forum sidebar and the top of threads. You'll also have a monitors tab at the top (if you're using horizontal navigation) which will take you to just your own monitor page. It's there that you would make changes to the setup if necessary. |

hey fourboxers, we finally got our static IP... do we need to do something different in order to monitor my line now?? If so just tell me if it's something I need to do..Thnx bro |
 | You'll need to edit your monitor, change the IP to the new one and click update monitor. |
 1 edit | ok, cool..i thought so, but wasn't sure..thnx
edit: do i put the new IP where it says static or dynamic?? |
 | It goes in the static spot. You still have to keep the dynamic box checked also. |
 | ok, thanks. can you explain why it's not working as of now, or last night?? |

As Doctor Olds says - I seen in another thread you mentioned using a FVS318, it defaults to blocking PING. Put a check mark in Respond to Ping on WAN port under Rules section of the netgear router. I have a few of these FVS318 and the VPN is a lot more stable after ping is enabled. The line monitor will then pick up the response from the router after ping is enabled. |

1 recommendation | Did you just make a change to your monitor? You're showing as not enough data to graph yet, which usually appears when the monitor is just starting »/testhistory?v···rt=m&p=2 bottom of the page
edit: it's showing now, you'll have to wait for it to start collecting data, that's usually within a half hour |
 | yeah, fourboxers... when i went to look at it, it said that i didn't have one so i probably farkled things up by setting up another one :? |

East coast monitor is acting up for me. Shows my machine off line when it's not (works fine with WC monitor) |

Unless you log into the site at least once per month, you monitor sometimes disappears. |

 | You're welcome. Your monitor should start graphing within a half hour of starting it. As long as you're pingable, you should be good to go. |
