If you buy the equipment up front, have it installed and it moves in the slightest in high winds, your signal is gone and they charge $125 for a service call. I would be willing to bet if you were on the payment plan and had no service, they would be johnny on the spot fixing it so they could continue to charge outrageous prices for less than adaquate service. We had no high speed choice when we moved.. even dial up was spotty out in the sticks. Our installer was 5 hours late... did the job in the dark and left all his mess sitting in the front yard and the modem HANGING out of the wall on the wire.. did not even supply enough wire for it to get on top of the desk or to the floor. Keep close watch on the user information also. Yesterday we got nailed for 415MB in an hour, and at our best speeds, its not physically possible (360MB is our best possible) - of course, the woman that eventually took the phone call, did not speak English as a first language and was useless. AO-hell would be better than this. |
