WTF is this a tin can and string system, and someone cut the string.
I have been patient, and to a fault at this point.
I am running out of patience. |

Dunno if it helps/matters/whatever but my neighborhood (heck, city/county) is pretty much all Verizon territory, meaning they own the phone lines, poles, etc. etc. and if I went back to POTS, they're the ones who I'd be signing with.
I signed w/ TB using that original # from Verizon.......(gave up the sig # from SR 'cuz I never used it anyway).
I wonder if that has anything to do w/ things working for me & not for others. (i.e. Irvine/San Fernando somebody other than Verizon originally????) |

Signed up with Teleblend on 7/29 to keep my number alive while I research a better solution. Everything worked fine until this morning. Now only outgoing works, incoming calls hear a fast busy.
My parents are in the same boat, but I signed them up with Net2Phone instead. It's been over 10 days now and we're still waiting for the number to port from Global Crossing. They are not going to pleased! |

There is no outage. Service is working perfectly here. I've never experienced an outage with TB, and I use it every day. Your issue probably lies with your ISP.

| reply to rycelover I got through on their support line finally. When I told them where I was located, they said there was a problem in some of the mid-western states including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. They said they're working on the problem, but as of yet have no ETA for the fix. |

1 edit | reply to rycelover this was posted at »gizmopasswords.blogspot.com/2007···34325440 on my blog today. Maybe "doug" can help us out with this fiasco:
Furthermore, I am an attorney living in Indianapolis, was a burned sunrocket customer, had my business phone number, held hostage/limbo for 10 days until could transfer it to teleblend, NOW trying to get it back to AT&T. I am a very smart lawyer. I am not a money grubbing lawyer. I have a solo practice, but work with large firms occassionally. If you have information that Teleblend is doing anything illegal, unethical, or otherwise please let me know. -- Get your Gizmo Admin Passwords, Unlock Instructions, and How To use your Gizmo with other providers at »gizmopasswords.blogspot.com NukedGallery.net |

| reply to rycelover The network status page actually has an explanation:
quote: 08/06/2007 07:45 PM Unable to make or receive calls, affecting all customers Our primary vendor is currently experiencing a complete network outage. Global Crossings, the vendor responsible for the outage, is diligently working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, and we will continue updating this ticket as more information becomes available.

Hummmm I have two numbers with Global crossing one digit apart. The 1st number just ported from SR to Viatalk and is working inbound/outbound. The second number is still with SR and is due to port to VT next week. Currently like all numbers with SR and TB it will not accept inbound calls, while outbound is ok.
If it is truly a Global Crossing problem, how come my Global Crossing number, one digit removed from the failing number but now assigned to VT still works? -- "The world is a book; those who do not travel read but a single page." -St. Augustine |

The notice states that it affects "all customers" - clearly this is to mean all sr/tb customers. I don't think it means all global crossing customers.
Plus, they're not saying that global cross itself is suffering an outage, but TB's primary vendor is suffering the network outage, caused somehow by global crossing. |
