How about you stop serving up (oh, excuse me, "sharing") copyrighted works with your BitTorrent client when you are not the copyright holder?

Generally you should not be too worried about this notice. The copyright holder notified your ISP, that you are sharing their movie.

Were you sharing their movie? I would be worried if you got this notification in error, or someone was stealing my wi-fi.

I would also stop using file sharing, since there are risks, and one of the obvious ones, is Comcast disconnecting you.

if the guy that made the movie wants people to download it, is it still illegal?

Nice message you're sending there... crime is okay unless you get caught.

You're not the first person to ask. Look here.

Has anyone received a warning from Comcast concerning infringement?

Just don't download stuff off bittorrent. There are alternatives that don't force you to upload content simultaneously. (And I don't really care if that statement offends people, so spare yourself the time because I won't even bother to read it).

In all seriousness, if Comcast was going to do anything, they already would have disconnected you.
