| reply to Mizzat What is the wireless part of Bundle97? The McDonalds wireless access hot spots in Georgia?
I went AT&T extreme 6 last week and was considering going DSL only since I have used Vonage VOIP >2 yrs. Terrific service with no charges for caller id etc. Jim |

| reply to bluepoint951 Sweet! I just got placed on Bundle 97, and the courteous CSR even waived the $5 SAFA Line charge. She said my total bill would be $42.95 (DSL Extreme 6.0).
She said she didn't have any record of a bundle 96, and that effective August 1st Bundle 97 no longer had a wireless requirement. Thanks to the OP and all that have contributed to this thread! |

I would imagine since we're both in the same county that you should qualify too. Try calling back tomorrow and see if someone else can fix you up with Bundle 97. |

For most people, those recordings would be a disaster.
Glad it worked out for you.
Now, if you depend on your email for communication, do yourself a favor and find a free or very cheap alternative. I have been using 1and1.com, which is almost free, except for a minimal charge for my own domain.
It's loaded with features, and hasn't missed a beat since I signed up last November. I love my 6.0 FastAccess, but their email- that's another story. -- No good deed goes unpunished. |

I love my 6.0 FastAccess, but their email- that's another story. I signed up for at&t a few months ago, the only reason I even had the basic voice line was for DSL. It was probably used a total of 5 times since it was installed. I have my Viatalk VoIP and cell for voice communication. I was actually ecstatic when I heard the "this line has been disconnected" message.
As for the domain, I already have one, »dotnull.com (forgive the sparse content). I'm hosted with DreamHost currently. I had 1&1 for a time, but needed some functionality that they didn't offer (namely, procmail). I do appreciate the suggestion though. |

| reply to bluepoint951 Anyone know if these "disconnected" lines still allow emergency calls to 911? I want to know if I can still use my landline as an emergency backup with SAFA.
Also, will I be able to do an LNP of a line with DSL still on it? I read somewhere this might cause the LNP to fail. |

| The line will have a dial tone, but no ability to call out or accept incoming calls. This line will still have a PHONE NUMBER, ableit, a non-voice one. If you try to port it, there is a good chance you will lose your service. ATT will most likley look at that as a disconnect. |
